Calacatta Lux, White Lux, Calacatta Montreal quartzite

last month

Hi everyone,

I am hoping to get advice from anyone who has LIVED with the above quartzites; I have been looking at quartzite because it is supposed to be more durable than marble but am learning that some quartzites actually behave a lot like marble even though labeled as quartzite. The salespeople tell me I don't have to worry about a quartzite other than basic sealing, whereas my fabricator says I will need something like TuffSkin for this stone. I love it so so much, but I do not want to deal with a high maintenance kitchen. I would rather go the route of Taj Mahal or something more durable even though I love it less. Any other recs for a white quartzite with subtle veining/movement? Don't want to go with the polished Cal Lux I love so much only to hate every mark and scratch in two years!
