Washers and or seats need replacement, if possible, you may even need total replacement of valve/valves. Find another the plumber, this is a remedial problem that your plumber should have picked up on. I am not a plumber....See MoreWater Trickling Sound in Bathroom
Comments (2)Do you have an A/C unit located in the attic? If so, there will be a condensate drain and it might be piped into a plumbing stack so that it drains down into the DWV system. Also, is there a sump pump that might have an exit pipe running through that area? If the backflow preventer on the pipe is faulty it may be allowing water to run back toward the sump after the pump cycles off. Comments (1)It's likely you just need a new cartridge. Buy two - that way you'll have one the next time this happens. Cartridges wear out - it's typically not a big deal to change them out. It is generally a good idea to lubricate the cartridge with silicone faucet grease - it will make install easier, make the cartridge last a little longer, and make eventual removal much easier....See MoreRelated Professionals
