Home Office Paint Help

last modified: 23 days ago

Hi everyone!
I’m getting ready to paint a room that serves as my home office and my meditation/yoga healing space. It’s mostly north-facing, so I want to create a warm, grounded, and stylish vibe without feeling overly trendy. The space has a chair rail and wainscoting on three walls, plus built-in bookcases around two large windows on the fourth wall.
Right now, I’m considering SW 6229 Tempe Star for the wainscoting and maybe SW 7008 Alabaster or SW 7015 Repose Gray for the upper walls, but I’m open to ideas! My home has a neutral gray and blue color scheme, and I’d love to carry that cohesive feel into this room.
I’m looking for suggestions on how to approach the bookcase and wainscoting to achieve the warm, inviting feel I’m going for. Should the bookcases match the wainscoting? Or go lighter for contrast? Would love to hear your thoughts!
The office is right off the foyer and has double French doors that are usually closed, so it’s more of a tucked-away space. I’ve included a couple of photos from other rooms in my home for reference.
Thanks in advance for your creative suggestions—I’m excited to hear what this amazing community comes up with!

**Finally got the pics; sorry for the delay. Tech challenges this morning. The 1st two images are the room in questions. The plans call it the living room, we call it the office. The other rooms are my living room, dining room, and the bonus room.**

Here is an old post on this same room. https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/6226754/office-inspiration-sos
