Move seating Closer to television

Shall I move the sofa closer to the television behind me and put a console/sofa table against the windows?

That's a relaxed looking arrangement, For me I'd expand that theme by replacing the table with a large ottoman. You can use a tray for table duties when necessary.

Thank you so much for your input. My preference of course would be to have light, TV, coffers, everything line up, but we did an expansion of this room during construction and unfortunately the coffers and light placement didn't get adjusted to reflect the change. I'm pathological about symmetry too so this question has been nagging me. I think once I fill in around the tv it won't look so vast on either side and my eye win't keep trying to make a connection b/w the tv and light. Thanks for the advice!

So there is a CEDIA article on it for 1080p resolution that says that in general seating distance should be 3x times the vertical dimension of whatever display you are using. So if you have a 75" 1080p display that has a vertical dimension of 38" then 3 times that would be 114" or roughly 9.5ft. Now with 4k displays ideally that distance should be shortened a bit as when you compare the equivalent size 1080p to 4k display the 4k display has the optical illusion of feeling "smaller." Given this it is really user preference as there is no end all be all standard that will fit everyone.

You might check out ruggable.com for the wine area - washable for spills. Perhaps the colors from your art pieces would be good in the rug and pillows. Since the wine are seems quite dark, look to add brighter colors there. Do you plan/have window coverings for the sliders?

That sounds like a lot of seating. The dressers are the wrong scale for this space. Get a bureau for the TV wall (facing the foot of the bed) and get a tabletop TV that sits on top...not a wall mount. I think a low loveseat (at the foot of the bed) and nice big round ottoman plus the new bureau should be enough furniture to balance the space. Especially with drapes and your purple chair and a dressing mirror. Definetly get drapes and be sure to hang them wider than the window frame. A nice large rug for the whole room will cozy up and unify both halves. Leave about 2 feet perimeter of wood floor all the way around. I have a concept drawing attached (not to scale). There is room for your purple armchair as part of a dressing area with a long floor or wall mirror to the left of the window.

What size is TV & what will be distance between eyes on sofa & TV if move sofa forward? And, how much space will be between sofa & console table? If sofa would be moved just enough to fit console table between it & window, I’d leave as is even without knowing answer to distance between front of sofa & TV now. Especially if you don’t already own the console table. I do agree with @dan1888 that a large ottoman would be great in place of coffee table. Coffee table is nice but the sofa looks comfy & ottoman would be nice to put feet up onto.

Eyes to tv was when the pixel count was lower than it is today. You didn't want to see the individual pixels. Now go with a 65 or 77" and sit closer without that problem. I'm watching the Australian Open 8' from a 65oled.

The size of your TV determines the optimal distance for your sofa. If the sofa can be moved forward, it will allow more natural light into the room and prevent blocking the windows.

The TV is 60" and im 15 feet from seating to tv screen. Moving it up for TV viewing is not the true issue... its the look of having a sofa table you can not see xcept for the top. it would be against window that goes down to the baseboard. You will be able to see it from the outside patio though. right now the sectional sofa is 14 feet long.

If you find an acceptable sofa table, paint to match or coordinate with the sofa. Then it disappears somewhat. You already have the sofa in front of the window as a given.
