NOISY motor on sump pump!!

last month

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reduce the sound/humming vibrations of a sump pit motor?

We’re in our new build and the sound can be heard all throughout the house and Especially in the bedroom directly above the pit.

I’m really hoping the hardwood flooring and furnishings including textiles, may reduce the transmission of the motor’s vibrations.
We upgraded the back check valve so that sound is no longer, thank goodness.
We will eventually build an insulated box over the pit but even then I’m concerned that the pipe (which travels up from the pit to the underside of one of our bedrooms then runs horizontal to be discharged) will carry the sound.
We put styrofoam between pipe and underside of floor joist, so there is insulated contact. It really comes down to the actual motor.
Once we get a a sense of water flow in the area, we will adjust the sensor so that it reduces the number of times it runs.

We will probably have to insulate the basement ceiling.

Any other suggestions???
