Different Contrasting trim from room to room?

last month

Hello,

Looking to do a taupe trim/doors with a white walls for entire downstairs that is open through stairs and hallway upstairs.

But I am thinking of switching things up and doing taupe on the walls and white on trims/doors for bedrooms and bathrooms.

Issue is that kitchen cabinets are taupe color and look only good with white walls. But white feels too sterile for entire house. A little paralyzed as I really like contrasting trim but not sure if it is right for my whole house.

Any suggestions?
