Grand Entrance inspiration

This is my first home and while I have some talents, decorating is not a strong suit. I have a vision of what I’d like for this foyer but would appreciate any input.

Left side: thinking of putting an upholstered bench next to a shoe storage cabinet then a tall plant at the corner.

Right side: keep the cabinet there? It was our tv console previously but now have no need for it. We have a round wood framed mirror we are thinking of hanging above.

Congrats on your new home. Your vision sounds like too many little pieces in this vast space.

Put a large bench (upholstered is fine) on the railing wall. You want a statement piece kind of bench not something dinky. Yes a tall and full plant in the corner. Use your old TV console to store shoes in. Add a very large piece of artwork above it. A mirror reflecting the staircase wall doesn't excite me.

Any interest in anchoring this space with a large rug?

Add a huge chandelier, but like this one (Decorpad) lots of little lights, but still very simple. No crystals! With the piece you have against the wall...just add to it (but move it to the other wall. (It will fit better). Keep everything low, as it is, but add lots of stuff. Don't know what your entry door looks like, but suggest you add some wood around it to work with the staircase wood.

Now, for the large empty wall...I draw a blank for the moment. Maybe something like this?

I saw on Instagram showing how you can buy the frames (peel and stick) on amazon.

I assume if the easement language is "purpose of access and utilities", and is for "Gov. Lot #4" only. Therefore I would reason only the owner of Gov. Lot #4 can use the easement only for those expressed purposes and not build any structure other than a road surface and utilities. In fact the owner of Parcel A may not be able to utilizes any part of the easement. I could be wrong, but I might be right.

Most all production door companies these days use laminated veneered lumber with a veneer finish as the doors are more stable. I personally dislike any online sources for millwork.

Steep stairs, tiny entry way inspiration

So the first picture is at the bottom of the stairs with the entry door to the right, the second is just what you see when you are in front of the door, the third is going down the stairs towards the entry door and the last is at the top of the stairs. Is that correct? You could do something fun with the stairs themselves. @Flo Mangan I am not decided on having a rug in the dining area. And it is more like 9.5ft by 11.5ft per my husband, will remeasure that area and the round table. Thank you again for taking your time with the drawing, really appreciate you. @nelliebean yes feet can come off, hubby and I talked about doing that when we placed it there just haven’t gotten to it. We are about 4 months in the house now, still settling in.

Kendra - good point about it being a vast space and hence, larger statement pieces. Thank you for this suggestion. The idea of a large art piece across the stairway wall - really like this idea and will plan to put one there. I’d like to use the TV console for our shoes but the doors are sticky and just cumbersome to open and close. I do like this idea too though.
