There are truly some lovely outfits here. Nothing too too outrageous. I think even I could wear one of those pantsuits and some blazers and jeans. Unfortunately, Im far from a human clothes hanger. The only person on the runway close to my age is Ralph.

I never tire of the look, although RL’s clinging on to the fringe on the unlikeliest of outfits always puzzles me.

True, I have twelve years on Christie Turlington but Ralphie has 17 on me 😊 so there’s that.

I like Ralph Lauren, lots of white baggie pants with beige jackets. The purses are huge! I thought cell phone pouches were taking over...? Interesting collection....very wearable....beautiful flowing dresses. Lots of cute belts.

His clothing is one of the few brands that reliably fits me. I liked the flowing white silk trench. The rest was a bit of a snooze but quite wearable.

It's kind of a funny fashion show, like what is the point of it exactly? I think I have seen all of this stuff before, in fact I own a fair amount of it. I have owned and worn a version of this since college, as I am sure many others have:

I loved it then and now.

I liked the entire first 15 minutes; the last four was the primary color stuff of his. Pass.

It was very helpful, however in one regard. I was waffling this very day about keeping a Farm Rio patterned sweater. I don't like patterns, They aren't my thing. They aren't Ralph's thing. It will go back tomorrow. Too bad ...it has a great feel.

My observations:

Bench seating for the guests looks terribly uncomfortable.

Why can't the models look like they're enjoying themselves?

Lauren’s clothes are what I call eElegant American style and always look good to me.

I’ve had exactly ONE suit of his and it was a hand-me-down from my former sister-in-law (decades ago). It was a stunning dark blue plaid - short waisted jacket and full skirt. I loved it.

I couldn’t make it past eight minutes.

No clothes for short women in what I saw.

To me those RL looks are among those which make tourists stand out in Santa Monica and Venice.

Shanda, I agree bench seating is not the most comfortable but the show is just 20 minutes or so, and with the introductions and designer acclaim at the end can’t be much more than 30 minutes of total sitting. Also this show is in a much more relaxed setting and the seating arrangement gives everyone a front row seat, It allows for a bigger or smaller group without adding chairs or looking like chairs are empty. I have never been to a fashion show in person but think I would prefer this to the rows of seats around a runway.

Eld, the handbags are lovely, agree! It looked like all the leather ones in the luggage color were repeats from the fall show.

Mtn Ihave an earlier iteration of that outfit with a RL blazer and blue shirt (white trousers from another maker) .. also white shirt, navy blazer, chinos…… blue and white stripe shirt, jeans, navy blazer…. ad infinitum. Switch out the navy blazer for white and there’s another universe of possibilities and they all look good all the time. I’m with you on pattern; with the exception of plaid I find that when I do buy something patterned I rarely, if ever, wear it. I’ve thought about returning the skirt I bought Thursday but just love the tapestry fabric …and I might wear it 😎
