What rug color would look best?

Just moved into an apartment and need to get a small dining chair and rug to complete my kitchen area. It’s also right off my entryway and entrance to my bathroom, so I want it to feel like a separate space while also keeping room to walk around it. Not a lot of natural light either so hoping to brighten it up a bit.

I was thinking maybe sage green would work with what I already have? Or maybe peel and stick tile to create a kitchen area?

I’d consider a drop leaf table, with one side folded down and placed against the wall on the right. This would give you a fairly large table surface that doesn't impede the traffic flow. It also gives you flexibiliity when you have guests. It could be pulled out to the middle of the space. I’d probably not place a rug under the table, especially of you plan to have a rug in the living room.

What color walls would look best with this sofa?

@Lisa Caudill We ended up going with Dishy Coral from SW. We still do not have the sofa and love seat yet as they don't get delivered until Nov. This is the freshly painted room. We also found a rug we think will match the walls and the sofa. This is our formal living room or as I like to call it, the room that doesn't get used unless there is company. Haha I will come back and update once we get the sofa and love seat and get the room complete.

I think blues and greens can work well together. I couldn’t find anything exactly like your room, just wanted to show the two together. I look at rugs as floor art and don’t feel they have to perfectly match everything in certain cases.

What color tv stand would look best?

Your entire space comes off more beige or brown than gray. The wood floors and the walls don't look gray because of the lighting. Using daylight bulbs usually look best with gray but it can come off cold. If you want to keep the bulbs you have and only focus on the tv stand, look for white or lighter shades of off-white/cream/ivory with hardware that has silver or chrome plating. Bringing in gray accents can also bring out the gray of the floors and wall-- if that's something you want in the first place.

For rug you could keep it an off-white or a beige or you could get the color that's your chair is
