What do I do for ottomans/coffee table(s) in this living room?
Comments (5)Actually, it's your sofa on the left facing the chairs and possibly the love seat that need a table. The sofa facing the love seat has tables on each side therefore one in front isn't really necessary. You could take the table from your last layout, rotate it and place it closer to the sofa facing the chairs. Place a small table (very small) or garden stool to the right of the love seat for that person to place a drink on. Another option would be two storage ottomans that can be moved around depending on where someone is sitting. If the tops are firm enough a glass can be set on them when your feet aren't!! ;)...See MoreOttoman or Coffee Table Help
Comments (12)Don't know what town you're in but ( Home Goods, Ross, TJ MAX, Cost Plus. or Pier 1) I'm a home stager and these are my favorite stores to find ottomans and coffee tables. If you check Home Goods or Ross twice a week you'll find what you'll looking for less than $300...See MoreCoffee table , side table and / or ottoman suggestions for living room
Comments (11)I really Ike the colors and patterns that you have in the space. It is not so easy to combine patterns the way you have done. You seem to have a natural flair for this. I had also thought of a solid ottoman in an orange, as being an interesting possibility. i like the overstock piece, also. I was thinking, with your white sofa + red pieces, a color like this might also work. https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Handy-Living-Duncan-Parisian-Tan-Gray-Velvet-Large-Tufted-Cube-Ottoman/8119649/product.html this one is out of stock right now, but just to show the idea/option. Although I might lean towards an untufted piece, since all of your furniture has some tufting detail....See Morehelp with ottoman or coffee table?
Comments (5)I don't understand your question because first you state that the ottoman won't be used by the person sitting in the chair and then you say that you like the idea of a big ottoman to put your feet up on. Sorry that your experience with a professional designer was less than stellar because I had a great experience with my designer and couldn't have achieved such great results - both functionally and aesthetically without her. That said there are stores that have "design services" that can help you or you can hire a designer by the hour to advise on how to finish off your space. It seems as though this is the type of "limited" issue which could be solved inexpensively by someone who points you in the right direction. Although I had my designer she would often explain what size, shape, finishes etc. would work best in a space and then I would look for stuff that fit the criteria of her educated input. Since she explained why those criteria worked, it was easy for me to narrow down the field. Based on my conversations with my designer in terms of finishing my living room with a coffee table, I would think that you might want a table that brings in some element of shine since everything is very muted and/or wood tone. I have a lot of wood and so my end table and my coffee table are not "heavy" visually but they don't disappear completely like an all glass or lucite table would. My taste runs a bit to the whimsical as I found this reproduction of the Meret Oppenheim occasional/side table from Arteriors - my coffee table is much more traditional 😂 Meret Oppenheim Surrealistic Bird Table Neither of these are my living room...See MoreRelated Professionals
