learning and gardening

last month

Hi there

I garden since roughly 30 years and I know my way around a garden mostly. Started of landscaping, so I "knew" perennials and shrubs & woodies first, start getting into veggies.

Funny, after years of trying and failing to "grow the sweet nice peas from when I was little" I finally came across a seed web pages that EXPLAINED the categories of peas.

who`d have thunk... I always searched for the "sweet tasting peas" so, more than once I bought different sweet peas/ mange-tout, and let me tell you they taste disappointing when you keep them longer and wait for the seeds to show...

now, the penny dropped and I will grow the proper kind of peas which are supposed to taste sweet when taken out of the pod, either uncooked or cooked, just ordered a nice variety. sometimes it just takes a while...

and I can get hazel sticks frome my alottment neighbour. Any hints from you for a veggie semi-novice regarding pea growing?

Have a nice week, bye, Lin
