apartment layout help
Comments (15)This is rough since I don’t have any measurements but this is concept. Creates bit of separation from bathroom and cooking eating area. Create a entry with Ikea closet at entry. Then a small cabinet behind sofa as a drop zone. Move table to other end and it serves as prep space and eating area. Hunt resale shops or on line for inexpensive corner cabinet for extra storage and possible display items. The tv would work best mounted on wall with pull out mount so everyone can see in the space. You could put table right up against wall to make more space for sofa and chair. Just depends on how many you have chairs or stools for everyday at your table. Try this for a week or so. Changes are always hard to get used to. Hope this further inspires you!...See MoreHelp with furniture and lighting layout in new apartment
Comments (8)IMO the bookshelves are not holding books and look really cluttered put the books from the DR in those shelves then get rid of the rack in the DR Remove all the shelves forn the center of the unit in the LR and get a TV to fit there . I love the sofa and Eames the light fixture would be better with an LED bulb in 4000K to avoid the yellow cast .The lamps on the sideboard in the DR are to small get all matching chirs for the DR remove the table cloth you need a larger rug in the DR or none at all. All that storage in the LR will be agodsend when the toys start taking over the adult space....See MorePick apart my kitchen layout! Need help.
Comments (55)Ok guys you were all so helpful before. What do you think of the new layout? We ended up moving the stove back to its own wall and putting larger (24”) counters and cabinets on either side. I may splurge and do a stove alcove type thing. Waiting on pricing to see what if it’s feasible. I am coming to terms with having to get rid of my dining room furniture. 😬😂 I am still hopeful that, while I may have to get rid of my pink velvet loveseat I bought just for this - I hope I can find a place for at least a larger comfy chair. I really want some soft seating for Sunday coffee and newspaper. I don’t want anything in the island and would prefer it to be more of a work table with an open bottom. I know that I would get a better layout if I would budge on that but I won’t. So knowing that the island is off limits for storage and fixtures how does this look? What am I missing? (Note that the island is not to scale. I had to add it in with my iphone. There will be at least 42” - in most places 48” around the island. Only two small stools that will fit under the island.)...See Morei need help .. lounge and kitchen layout in small awkward apartment ..
Comments (2)if it is being built why not make sure the TV has a proper space and not decide on a huge sectional in a small space . Please make all the flooring the same , no change for the kitchen. Post just the meaurements you are working with not any furniture there at all. I deally also in feet and inches for most readers here ....See MoreRelated Professionals
