Lovely short look at Guy Ritchie’s farmhouse in Dorset. The person in the video and narrator is Edward Hurst, the designer. Link

I've seen pics of the interior before. Nice to see a video. So many deep, dark, warm finishes. The long hallway is wonderful. Then bam, the last shot of the outside of the house looks like a something someone would post on Houzz asking how to fix what is off about the curb appeal! So great from the inside and peculiar outside.

Just lovely, and so welcoming. Thanks for sharing.

Here (<-- Link) is an article with more photos of the farmhouse, which is a guesthouse on his estate used for "shooting parties and other gatherings."

Great! I especially loved some of the very ‘feminine’ pink and floral papers in what is generally masculine space.

What a lovely home. I agree with the designer that is the kind of place you don't want to leave. So full of warmth and interest. Thanks for sharing.

The outside is in a very traditional storybook style that I find charming. As allison noted, it’s a guesthouse on the estate, and just one of many outbuildings. The hallway is my favorite feature!

Lovely property, but the house is way too Colonial Williamsburg for me.

It’s certainly an interesting choice, Chispa. if I was speculating I’d wonder if they had done everything humanly possible in the realm of English country manor in the main house and other structures, and this was a sort of novelty design palate cleanser.😎

adding, I love the Colonial Williamsburg esthetic, and although I would not decorate my own house in that style I’d be a very happy guest in it.

While watching his movies, I often swoon over his choice of interior sets. I'm not surprised he has a lovely and charming guest house.

So well done for the house and setting. That pink wallpaper is so pretty - made me think of Sueb's change to pink.

I am not sure why the designer is calling this Colonial Williamsburg. It looks Georgian to me, which fits, but really Georgian is an English style to begin with, and many of the document fabrics and papers in early America originated in Europe. They weren't really doing anything "new" style wise in the New World, that really only started to happen with the Federal period.

In my next life I want my house to be old and all the bedrooms wallpapered. That's my dream guest/house. Too bad for Madonna. ;)

There is an organic quality to this caliber of UK decorating that in my opinion is almost entirely absent in most of American design. It's not random, there is actually a lot of restraint here. But once a set of parameters is set, I think you can see how easy it is for something like this to evolve.

I did not read it as Williamsburg either.

I've always said my next house was going to be totally English. Didn't do on the lake due to time restraints during construction and sources. Last house wasn't the right place. This house either. So NEXT house.

When we were looking at houses before we bought my parents' house, we looked at one that had a lovely guest room with fabulous walls to ceiling and peaks that were completely wallpapered. Heaven.
