I stopped wrapping my fig
Comments (1)Bruce, I don't have a clue, but would guess that the age and root condition of your tree might have something to do with what has happened. It is my understanding that wrapping of outside, in-ground trees protects mostly by diffusing the drying effects of cold wind. If that is true, then wrapping container-growing figs when in an enclosed building probably doesn't do much good anyway....See MoreUpdate on BSOD & other errors
Comments (8)did they even go in to the event viewer and look at the error messages and codes with event ID? that should have given them some kind of idea. I would suggest fully uninstalling McAfee, use their tool too and remove all traces of it, I was amazed at the number of problems that McAfee had been causing on my pc when I took it off. be sure you use the mcafee removal tool after you have removed them from add remove programs or much will be left behind. I just removed McAfee from one of my computers. I had to go into msconfig and turn off all McAfee items from startup prior to trying to uninstall, just turning them off did not work it would say the program was still running. I then removed everything leaving Security center till last. Then used the removal tool, after that I went to Program Files and deleted all McAfee files. Also set Windows explorer to show all hidden files and folders and deleted the McAfee folders. I found the instructions on how to do this on the McAfee forums. 1. Uninstall all McAfee programs through "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows "Control Panel". 2. Use the MCPR tool, see this article: How to remove supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe). This will remove all McAfee remnants from your computer. (you must have Windows Vista, XP or 2000 SP4 to use this tool) 3. Launch Windows Explorer and delete all McAfee files in "Program Files" but especially in "C:\Document and Settings\\Application Data" and "C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data". You have to set Windows Explorer to show all hidden files and folders (Tools > Folder Options > View tab). Just delete the McAfee folders even if they are empty in all the "Application Data" folders. Can be more than one! In Vista: C:\Program Files, C:\ProgramData and C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming If you scroll down on this thread you will find these instructions given by EX Brit on how to use the removal tool and full removal and including this link. service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.a···&lc=1033 forums.mcafeehelp.com/showthread···rus+scan...See Morehow to master the waffle iron?
Comments (24)FOAS, that's a good tip, I still over fill my waffle maker sometimes. Bobby, it's all a matter of practice, soon you'll know how full and how long to cook them. I like whole grain waffles, but the kids like the fluffy white ones so that's what I mostly make. You have a recipe you like, so I say keep using that and keep practicing. As I mentioned, I still over fill mine sometimes, if I get distracted and don't pay close enough attention, and then I get that mess to clean up. Maybe less of a mess, thanks to FOAS... Comments (13)Lisa, I am sorry to read about the loss of your dog. I just wanted to share my own experience with a similar situation...maybe it will help you feel better about your choice. I took my 13-year old cat to the vet because of sudden weight loss and markedly poor coat. X-rays revealed an intestinal mass and I was given three options. I could put him down right away, put him through more testing that would stress him physically and emotionally, or send him for exploratory surgery. In the end, I chose the surgery. I thought "I know cats that have lived to 18 or 20" and to be honest, I was young, he was my first pet, and I was not ready to let go and have him euthanized. The vet did warn me that it could be difficult for him to recover, but she said she would make the smallest incision possible. I was at work on his surgery day when she called to tell me it was a huge mass involving his stomach and intestine and that due just to the size of the tumor, he would never have good quality of life again. She recommended euthanasia, which I of course realized was the best thing for him. I was unable to leave work so she euthanized him while he was still under for surgery. To this day I am devastated when I think I could have let him go without the trauma of that last overnight at the vet, the surgery, and especially not being able to say goodbye. As others have said, it is so very difficult when we have to make these kinds of decisions, and it's worse when you feel like you don't have time to think and weigh your options. But I believe that you chose well and did the most loving and caring thing left to do for your dear dog. I hope that time brings you peace with your decision....See MoreRelated Professionals
