I want to take the bad paneling down. Then I would like some wallpaper but also wood mill work large wood paneling not sure what It is on at least the bottom
1:3-1/2 . Help so many options
Couch and dresser will go.

Would you mind sharing some room dimensions? That will help us if we need to mock up some ideas for you. As for the paneling, I'm guessing once it's remove you will need to install drywall etc; are you looking for ideas/suggestions on types of finishes?

Depending on the furnishings (is bed staying? open to new drapery?) and house style, I love a wallpaper look. It's a small room though, and depending on wallpaper and other finishes this could be overpowering. Are you thinking wainscotting? If so, that would allow you to do a fun wallpaper or pop of color or print on the top portion.

The room is about 20 by 16 feet. I tossed the drapes there are blinds I’m open to knew ones or new drapes. Not sure about wainscoting but thinking wood on Lower 2/3. Too 1/3 walpaper. Unsure if that’s ok or if it’s ok on all walls. Not the color in this picture but just idea for wood.

I know the duvet. The pattern was in fact called "Strawberry Patch" and I had it in my last bedroom in my parent's house - my mom made matching curtains from sheets and my grandmother made a beaded floral arrangement that was strawberry plants in a terracotta planter that hung in the corner. It may have been by Wamsutta? We're pushing the trivia now. LOL Unless you are looking for a very unfitted Bohemiam look, I would say these are not working together and I'm not sure I can see them with the wall color you have described. I can see the first two being part of a Bohemian mix, but not really the Strawberry Patch and the green sheet. I think those work together in a brighter mix There is a gold in the Strawberry Patch, but I don't think it is enough to pull together the bright, clear colors in that and the sheet on the one hand and the heavier colors of the drapes and quilt. Bohemian isn't really my thing, so take that or leave it and if that is the look you want, find someone else who can better help you, but I would say you might be in a pick two situation and then look at using the others in another room or rooms. MAYBE three if you did the duvet, used the sheet to make a trim some white curtains or a pull-down or roman shade (even just piping, a band or tiebacks) and/or make shams or a toss pillow and then used the quilt folded at the end of the bed or on a stand across the room -- I'd have to see it IRL and see the room. I just can't see the damask curtains working with the others. It's a very heavy look while the Strawberry Patch is very light and clean, clear colors.

The switch is for the ceiling light. There was a fan/light but it is upstairs in an old house and the ceilings are low. After my husband died I had my son take down the fan and replace it with just a light.

You have some fun colors to work with! As suggested above, selecting primarily neutral finishes and textiles will allow the artwork to really pop. For a cohesive element, consider complimentary accent pieces such as throw pillows and lighting. Selecting pieces which are a bold combination of black and white will give your space a sophisticated, timeless touch while still pulling colors from your artwork. Paint the walls to match the drawer front color. If you like it you may want to paint the panels on the bed the same color. Should cozy up the space a lot. Change your lamps and art, add curtains or roman shades. Have a chair and luggage rack for guests, plus a charging station for their devices.

It is pretty random to toss wainscoting into just one room in a house. I know it is a big trend right now, but I can imagine that trend fading fast and then you are left with another outdated look. Do you have wainscoting in other rooms in your home?

I personally like your paneling. I'd find fantastic fabric for drapes and paint your current walls a great color to match. What colors and patterns are you drawn to?

The current paneling just isn’t in good shape really as for wainscoting if that’s what you call the wood in the pic I posted but our dining room does have something like that as least like a chair rail.
