Utilitech Under Cabinet LED Lights Not Dimmable?!
Comments (5)We have these same fixtures (being installed today, which is why I turned this up while Googling an unrelated question). It's quite possible your dimmer switch is the culprit. It is my understanding that LED fixtures ARE dimmable, but require a special LED-compatible dimmer switch. Surprised your electrician did not raise this point. I realize this info comes months too late, and maybe it wouldn't have been the answer anyway, but hopefully it helps someone else who stumbles upon this as I have....See MoreSuggestions for light to replace ugly kitchen fluorescent
Comments (7)I would use the surface mounted recessed cans. For $300, you can get 5 of Lotus LED lighting. I have one of the Commercial Electric from home depot and they run about $40, I did not like color rending on these. Another option is surfaced mounted fixtures that are very slim so that you don't have to worry about adding a recessed housing fixture in the ceiling. Comments (5)Hi Shelly, When it comes to 4" LED recessed lights with adjustable whitepoint, there are many options available in the market. Here are a few factors that you should consider while making your decision: 1. Quality: Look for lights from reputable brands that have been in the industry for some time. Quality brands generally produce higher quality lights, which can last longer and provide better lighting. 2. Compatibility: Make sure the lights you choose are compatible with your current wiring and installation setup. If not, it may cost you more money and time to have them installed. 3. Dimming: If you want to have the ability to dim your lights, make sure the lights are compatible with a dimmer switch. 4. Energy efficiency: Look for lights that are energy efficient and have a good lumens per watt ratio. This will help you save on electricity costs in the long run. Based on these factors, some brands that you might want to consider are Lithonia Lighting, Halo, and Cree. These brands offer a range of 4" LED recessed lights with adjustable whitepoint and are known for their quality and reliability. I hope this helps!...See MoreRelated Professionals
