Comments (41)Oakley, I hope you are seeing an endocrinologist and will enroll in a diabetes management program through your health insurance. It sounds like you need guidance, and that you could be shortchanging yourself by substituting the internet for sound, ongoing medical advice. Jojoco, you’re still well within the healthy BMI range and clearly don’t ”need” to lose weight, but I understand how good it can feel to have control over something like that in your life— especially when you’ve lost control of other things. I do weigh every day and as long as I stay within a five pound range I no longer worry about my weight. Just eating in a restaurant can cause a two lb increase on my scale from additional sodium alone. I have—almost— eliminated alcohol from my diet as was recommended for my autoimmune issues, and that caused a noticeable but not ongoing drop in weight 18 months ago. I track my food intake assiduously, more now to note how I feel and how much energy I have after eating certain foods. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to track and weigh as long as they don’t become ends unto themselves....See MoreHosta D 2024 Try #2 use this one
Comments (18)Cute eaglets Paula! I am impressed with everyone's Deep Blue Sea. I have one and it is growing slower than molasses! But it is also in an area with a lot of tree roots. Hopefully, I can dig it out this year. I have a feeling it would have a growth spurt if it was given new soil and less root competition. Diamond Lake...See MoreHosta E 2024 .... .... . . ... .... .
Comments (18)peren.all - I think you may be correct about my Earth Angel. I never questioned it before but comparing it to othersl and the HL it does have quite rippled/pie crust edges. I've had it for so long and never really paid much attention to it. Hmmm, wonder what it could be? Thank you Edited to add - I looked at the Dan Rawson list for rippled hosta in the HL. Good lord, it would take me years to try to compare them all....See MoreHosta F 2024 ... . . ... ... .... ......
Comments (39)Saija Frisian Pride is lovely. Mike it is tough getting the right mix of sun/shade for Fire and Ice. Not enough sun and it will be weak but too much it will burn. You have so many beauties that I am sure you could grow it to perfection if you chose to try again. I knew it could be difficult to place and it was dumb luck on my part! Fragrant Queen is terrific. I think I tried Fruit Loops as a cereal once as a kid and never again but I would like H. Fruit Loops! Sherry Forbidden Fruit is a great one. Happy to see you got Fragrant Dream and that you took more pics this year! Ann that amount of snow is a dusting for me lol! I think your only problem with F and I would be finding enough sun for it. Shadow great looking FW. Lisa Farewell Party is a new one for me too. I like it! old_dirt very nice FPS! Thank you Debra! What a great bunch you have! Another lovely Fruit Loops. I really must keep my eyes open for it. I think Mike meant to label it F. Aureomarginata....See MoreRelated Professionals
