Navy / Grey exterior paint - have to decide today!

Hi people! We have a boxy brown shingled 1962 house on a hill and replaced all of the moldy old shingles allowing water to seep into our walls with Hardie plank.

Now we have to paint! We are leaning toward Benjamin Moore Westcott Navy, a dark grey-blue navy color that looks pretty blue in the sun but pretty dark in the shade. The house is big and I don't want it to pop off the hillside too much, and it's also among and under trees so a light color will get dirty. The color consultant at Benjamin Moore strongly suggested this color, and we all like it, but I'm nervous about going with such a dark color!

Our house is impossible to get a good photo of because of the positioning on the hill and the huge construction project under way, but I did my best - here's a view of the house from the street above, one from the street below (the back of the house) and one of the most visible side of the house.

We are planning to paint the roof edge the same grey color as the roof and the soffit the same color as the house, with the window trim an off-white.

Welcome any feedback on this! It's been pouring rain here so we are trying to get this done during a dry spell - all very tricky!
