I need to see your house and you are right a hard size to find with a tight budget so maybe you will need to either bite the bullet on prfice or reframe the opening to a standar 32x80 door.

I agree, we need a picture, of the house to see what door is appropriate for your house. 34 might be hard to find, and I wouldnt want a 32x80 exterior door. 36 x80 would be a nicer size for a front door, and you would have a lot more options, if there is a way to go a bit bigger.

No way to go bigger because inside the light switch is already butted up to the trim.

A light switch is easy to move but making a door opening bigger is not just wideneing the space but it also requires a new header that is where the issue is .Maybe you will need to spend the money and for sure if you are fussy about the style. We do need to see your house .

Thanks all, more looking for where to find less common door sizes not advice for style of the door…. I know what I want but need sources other than Lowes or Home Depot because they only have a couple of doors that size.

^ agree on fixing the door if you can - regardless you will need a pro for sure, your door frame may not be square due to the age of the house so there will need to be some work done to have it fit well - often the typical window/door guys don't like these jobs

Try a local lumber yard that isn't a big box store. They might carry some different products, but a custom size will always be pricey.

Well thanks for the pic I see no way to enlarge that door in that space so spend the money on new or fix what you have . I think the door looks fine style and size so not sure what is driving this hunt. BTW when you ask for help here you get things you just ignore if you do not like the comments since anytime you ask a question answers flow .Often what you want and what you can get are not the same , we really do try to help. You need to provide info for us to do that .

A real lumberyard will handle this for you with ease. it may be special order but it will not be an issue. @Brandy Hite

I don’t have advice but wanted to say your house is adorable!

What a lovely home! Had a similar problem and had to have one custom made and installed by a local door company. pretty simple process actually.
