Maybe. Maybe not. Can’t see your cabinets, counters, or other selections. You need to get samples of everything together.

Hallett, I finally got my photos taken of our kitchen before we change the countertops, backsplash, sink, and faucet. My cabinets are staying honey oak as they are custom made and taken care of since we remodeled in 2003. I’m going to put the same granite down too (giallo ornamental). I want a lighter color of tile in a more up to date look. The tile has to be a warm white and not busy. I haven’t looked for the tile very much at this time. I think I will get a cafe brown silgranit sink to replace the SS. I am trying to decide on a single bowl or double bowl which we are happy with and accustomed to.
So many folks vote for a single large basin that I’m considering it.
The kitchen has just been painted and part of a large expensive remodel over the last 4 months. I feel a bit low on money. This part of the kitchen was not going to be worked on, but here I am.

I’m talking about tile for a new backsplash BTW. The floor is staying the same and the white appliances too.

I'm confused - you are getting new countertops that are exactly the same as the old countertops? I presume what you have there now is what is staying and what you are matching the sink bowl to.

If you are low on funds and like a double bowl, why are you getting a new sink? Keep the current stainless sink, which reads as neutral in a space where there are already lots of colors and finishes happening. You can use your new hardware color for the faucet even with a stainless sink.

If you are hell bent spending money on a new colored sink, get one that blends better with the color of your counters. Brown isn't a winning match.

The short segments of countertop that are on your wall ARE your backsplash. You don't need tile in addition to the granite splash that is already there. Either remove the tile and paint it the same grey as the rest of your room - or another grey that is in the countertops - or just leave your current tile and paint over it. My friend painted her stone tile backsplash five years ago with a solid color paint. It is wearing well five years later and looks more lovely and more custom than any stone.

No the faucet does not need to match the cabinet hardware. My cabinet hardware is black and faucet is stainless. But my aplliances are stainless and my sink is stainless so the faucet ties back to them.

Kendrah, I need to explore the possibility of painting the backsplash. The reason I am having to replace the countertop is because when we did that kitchen remodel in 2003, the granite people “upgraded “ me with that granite backsplash because they cut the slab a little short. I didn’t know better and thought it was a win for me. That left only 2” for the faucet to fit in (which they managed to do). Now the 21 year old faucet needs to be replaced because it’s leaking and ugly at its base. No other faucets seem to be able to fit in a 2” space. I will have to get more of the 4x4 travertine to lay where the granite is removed if I paint the backsplash. I was hoping to find the same color I had before, but it’s no longer available in the places I’ve looked since it’s not popular anymore.
I can keep my current sink, but thought I might just get a new one to go with the new counter.
