Where can I find a good quality sectional?
Comments (14)Definitely not high quality but we just bought our leather sectional from Jcpenneys and they have some that fit your description to a T. The ivory track arm style that sits lower to ground but comfortable and not weirdly on the floor as some of these new styles are was simply beautiful. I went for the light tan and its soft as butter and actually very well made. We simply love it. You could spend the money saved on other decorating items. Everyone that sees it compliments on it. Yes, I will get a host of texts after this commenting on Jcpenneys lower quality which I agree but this particular sectional that comes in TONS of optional colors was really my best purchase of 2011. loveeeeeee it....See MoreBath towels, shower curtain and bath mat
Comments (7)FYI, RH extended their F&F sale another day (thru today?). Included in the 20% off sale, are towels, bathmats,..... I use their towels and bathmat in the MB ("my" bathroom--DH uses our hall bath). Mine are white (bathroom has white fixtures and wall tile, pale blue walls, and a black-stained vanity, floor tile, and window shade). I use AHA products, including face wash, and those are no-no's with the dyes used for their colored towels. No problems with the white towels. I have the reversible (cotton) bath mat. It remains thick and plush for a long time (I have three sets of towels/mats that get rotated after each wash, which is done weekly). HTH!...See MoreLooking for shower bath faucet of good quality
Comments (5)There's a few ways to pick items for a remodel or build. As to faucets, one could: 1. Look through hundreds or thousands of online photos at Houzz and elsewhere to find the exactly perfect must-have look/style of faucet and then search again forever to find a quality manufacturer who comes close. And don't forget to consider ease of repair for your area. (The plumber's ability to quickly get repairs parts for that designer faucet will differ in Chicago vs. rural Montana.) 2. In a short amount of time, determine the quality manufacturers (also considering parts availability for your plumber/area) and pick something from their offerings. #2 is far more time efficient and less stressful....See Moretrying to find a good quality medium priced rolling (crank) composter
Comments (12)Do you need a tumbler composter? If you live in the city or suburbs and rats or racoons would love nothing more than to treat your compost pile as their personal smorgasbord, then the answer may be yes. Tumblers get the food waste off the ground and inside a bin critters can't unlock or gnaw their way in to . Not to mention it keeps the neighbors from complaining about that pile of gunk in your backyard. Another reason to get a tumbler is if you have no yard to speak of. You can compost on top of concrete or asphalt if you need to. However, know this: to get good results with a tumbler you are going to have to spend a lot of money. There are cheap ones - $100 or less - but they are poorly made and not big enough to get the compost heating up. (You need a mass of 3' by 3' at the very least, and bigger is better.) To get something that will last more than a year and is big enough to generate some heat you are going to pay over $300. The Jora JK270 (above) fits that bill. It is $450. It is built to last 10 years, it is insulated so you can compost through the winter, the latches are secure and it turns easily. But the cost brings me to two conclusions. First of all, if you don't need a tumbler and can compost in a pile or a simple plastic bin, then by all means you should do that. There is no sense in spending that much money when there are alternatives that are free or cheap and will work as well or better than a tumbler. And second, even if a good tumbler fits your requirements, is it worth $450 to produce your own compost? I mean you can buy an awful lot of bags compost at the garden center for that much money. Maybe you shouldn't be composting at all if it takes that much resources to do it. Now if its your hobby and you have the money, then go for it, I say. Live the dream. Just weigh the costs and the benefits....See MoreRelated Professionals
