Comments (3)Fill the nail holes with MH Heavy Patch, dry and sand level. Prime with a quality latex primer or latex under-body primer like Pittsburgh paints brand. Caulk all seams and gaps after sanding the primer and patch smooth. Wipe away excess caulk with wet cloth or small section of grout sponge. Comments (2)The problem with doing touch ups or partially doing an area, is that it tends to make everything else dingy. From the standpoint of labor, it is also disproportionately labor intensive. You still have to protect the whole room, even if you decide not to do the ceilings, for example. Similarly, it is far easier and time efficient to do the woodwork before the walls, whether spraying or brushing the woodwork. Comments (4)I have used it for vinyl trim and has worked well in interior uses. Typically your door would be primed or painted painted already so should work with prep work. Painting doors with cans can be difficult to the spray pattern, Could react to the finish your applying to and of course overspray gets everywhere. Can it be done, yes.
