I need help choosing the color of a new kitchen faucet!
Comments (1)I just saw my neice's new house today and she has the combination you spoke of: black granite composite sink, ORB faucet and ORB handles. I thought it looked fantastic. Come to think of it, yes, a brushed nickel faucet would have looked out of place....See MoreRecs for a budget kitchen faucet about $200
Comments (1)I like the Bellera better than the Delta Kate. I'm not sure which Talis one you are looking at. There are a lot of Talis fixutres. If you could add pictures to your post it would help. I'll throw this info at you, though. The Bellera is on sale at www.overstockdeals.com for $142.55 (with free shipping) right now, if that helps you at all. If your base will be at least 36" and this is your only sink in the Kitchen for prepping, then you might like a 60/40 double bowl sink I would definitely stay away from a double bowl sink with equal size bowls (unless the sink base is at least 48" wide and the sink is wide enough to fill it up). If you have a prep sink and it's located correctly, then you might go ahead with a single bowl regardless of the sink base size. My DH cleans up and he prefers a 60/40 (really more like 67/33) double bowl sink. He uses the small bowl for soaking silverware and the like while he uses the large bowl for rinsing, if needed (some things do need rinsing or soaking - but not all.) He doesn't have to worry about where to store a dish bin when not in use (we don't have room to store such a large item) or have to get out a pot to use to soak something (none would really fit silverware). The prep sink that I use is a single bowl, but it's only 15-3/4" square - interior (yes, I wish it were wider). There are pros & cons to both configurations - think about how you work. Will you and your DH be sharing the sink - one prepping/cooking while the other cleans up or maybe two of you prepping. If so, a double bowl sink may be better. If you are the sole cook and bottle washer (or your DH is), then maybe a single bowl will suffice - but be sure you plan how you will handle the need for a smaller bowl when you don't want to fill up the expanse of a single bowl sink - have a dish bin handy, for example. Another option is a double bowl sink with a low divide. It's a double bowl sink, but the divider is shallower than the entire sink so, if needed, a pan's handle or a large refrigerator shelf will fit inside the sink. For reference, here's my cleanup sink and what it holds: The large bowl holds everything except the full-length deli drawer and glass shelf from my refrigerator. All of my pans, pots, cookie sheets, etc., fit in the large bowl. Small bowl: Dimensions:...See MorePlease fix my semi-urgent kitchen sink situation... ($600 budget)

I had called Ruvati before placing the order to see if Amazon was the best way to order it. Very helpful person named Summit answered the phone. So I knew there were no others left in their warehouse. Considering all possibilities... what if I had the last of current inventory and I was getting someone else's reject? Timing of arrival to my door was perfect. Right when my AC repairman had turned on the heat (yes, heat in Austin Texas in June) to thaw the frozen AC coils. We had 15 min to kill while my house heated up. So naturally I said, "Hey, wanna see what my new sink looks like?" He was game! We unpackaged... After several layers of carefully packaged cardboard and foam, I find a black silky stocking as the final layer of protection around the stainless steel sink, OMG it is HUGE ! The construction and finishing of those corners + ledge is really impressive. What is purpose of these squares? Website pic of the bad-a*s rounded corners that look even more impressive in person where the corners meet the ledge. Serious manufacturing skills to create that result. First impressions of the Ruvati RVH8003 kitchen sink workstation: - Incredibly well packaged and packed. Almost iPhone level thought into how it's packaged for shipment and removal from the box. - Thanks to the thoughtful packaging, 2 outermost cardboard dents didn't affect anything inside. - Love the black silk Ruvati "stocking" that surrounds the sink as the final layer of protection - WOW it is HUGE. Like... I could perform an autopsy in it ...huge. My first reaction after seeing it naked outside of all packaging: ::Panic Attack:: OMG I must have ordered the 45" by mistake !!! Run to get tape measure. Measure it. Nope, just 33 x 22. ::Panic Attack:: OMG I must have measured my current sink wrong. Walk quickly to my existing kind-of-puny-looking double-bowl sink and measure it Yep, it's 33 x 22. Am I witnessing a David Copperfield-level optical illusion? ::Whew:: - LOVE the rounded seams in the corner of the sink. Very pro. Very perfect. - No scratches at all. - Like the sound it makes when I thump it "Heavy duty SoundGuard undercoating and thick rubber NoiseDefend padding – minimizes noise and reduces condensation" VERY happy....See MoreRelated Professionals
