The squash in the OP's picture from 10 years ago is for sure showing signs of black rot/gummy stem blight. nc-crn gave the correct diagnosis. Search results for "brown etch on squash" brings up mostly Australian websites and articles, a couple of which mentioned black rot as a cause. Kathy, I saw your other request, but don't have any idea how that would be done. I wonder if you have a program name, that would do this? Someone else requested this a while ago with their front garden, and I don't think anyone was able to help. Sorry I can't help you. But I am curious what computer program would be needed. Good Luck! I have worked at that plant sale for the last two years with my brother. I saw that camera crew and the dude with the hair. And Martha, in fact. I met Bunny last year and shook her hand, told her I was a fan. This year, I actually chatted with Martha for a few minutes about the vines she was growing on her house in Bedford, rang up her sale, took her check, etc. To have that unmistakable voice, that I know so well, going directly into my ear from about two feet away was a trip. She was just like she seems on TV. I chatted with Bunny several times over the course of the weekend and I have to say she is a delightful person -- completely real and genuinely warm. The day after the sale, my brother and I took the garden tour and spent a couple hours wandering Bunny's gardens, porches, greenhouses and pool house. We ran into her again on the terrace and had a nice, short chat. John Roselli was inside cooking, just as he appears in the book An Affair With A House. I had thought it would be nice to have a picture with her, but would never ask. My brother said he'd try to snap a stealth shot of me talking to her, if the chance arose. But, we were brief, so my brother took a picture of me posing with Bunny's dog on the front lawn. :-) I have emailed him, asking for the pic. I'll post it when it comes.

@User We HAVE had professional advice and have paid for an architect to design and draw up plans for the renovation. I am looking for design help with furnishings and set up, which I believe CAN be done on a budget because I have done the rest of my house like that. I never said anything about rooms being "too small" or "not working" - two of them are on the smaller side and I am just trying to find creative ways to make the most out of the space. And this "ambitious plan" is not costing us several hundred thousands of dollars, and it most certainly would not be cheaper to build a new house. If you're not going to be helpful and answer my question just don't write anything at all. Getting the "idea" of it being luxury does not put more dollars in my pocket, and you don't know me or why we need these renovations, so making suggestions like that are not appropriate and do nothing to add value.
