After taking a hard look at my living room last night, I also agree that we have more than enough green in the room already and that a green sofa would not work. Robin dc I'd love to see your pictures as caramel, camel and tan are probably the best choices. My problem is that my accent colors are green and a dark orangy red and I think blue and red are better accent colors for chocolate brown, like in Linda brk's picture. Yes, I am thinking of getting more Ekornes. I think I have finally learned my lesson--the color and style of my two Ekornes chairs was dictated by a 400 lb gorilla couch at our old house and if I get more chocolate brown I will just keep going in a direction I did not like in the first place. My problem is that I don't think that chocolate brown goes very well with sagey greens, but I really can't change the green and the stressless chairs are too nice to not use and then I don't have enough decorating sense to imagine how it could all be pulled together! Can someone help me? I have a nail head brown leather loveseat and a matching brown chair and ottoman and couch. All beautuful dark brown nail head. My problem is I need to replace my couch. The cushions are not transferrable and the two end ones are worn out. We have had the couch for 16 yrs. And the chair but it doesn't get as much use. I would like to get rust color in my living room to cooridnate with my fireplace trim. But would a rust color leather couch coordinate with the dark brown chair and loveseat? Any suggestion would be appreciated. I have a small cockapoo so I need anyfurniture pet friendly.

Just wanted to update since I'm slowly getting my house together. I had added rugs to my living room space. Neutral cotton rug (didn't want so much shedding from jute) with a cowhide layered on top. I'm now trying to incorporate accent colors. I was thinking greys, blues, and browns? The rest of my home has been painted either Hale Navy or Revere Pewter soI'm trying for colors I can mix and match throughout the house. I will be adding tables when I can decide on wood, marble top, or glass. Any suggestions for colors or coffee/ accent tables?

I agree...lots of colors. The are pieces from other rooms in previous home. I don't care for the red wall. Walls were this color when we moved in. I can certainly paint the walls a different color altogether but I have the consider the rest of the house. My intended them was for a conversation/drinking room with chairs rather than couches. We hardly ever use this room but is at the home entrance. Trying to work with what I have and buy additional pieces to compliment. Do you think I can make it work with dark brown and camel leather chairs or should I start over? I was thinking a better rug would pull it all together. ??
