Shrimp cocktail with a side of avocado and lime. I use sugar free ketchup with horseradish for the cocktail sauce.

Just finished my salad of mixed greens, tomato, cuke, red pepper, kalamata olives, turkey, a sprinkle of flax seed meal, olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Pretty much a standard lunch for me.

I am eating the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers! Yumm!

Today I went to a restaurant for our annual lunch with fellow volunteers from our Children's Hospital fundraising book sale. The food was delicious - I had chicken pot pie with puff pastry crust and salad.

Turkey sandwich!

I do not eat the turkey on Thanksgiving. I do not like hot turkey (or chicken). But I have major love for turkey sandwiches with russian dressing.

It will be my lunch and my dinner for many days and I will be sad when it's gone.

I always buy a turkey much larger than I need. DH is never happy because he has to carry it in its brine to the basement refrigerator, and back up Thursday morning.

I'm making Puff Pastry from scratch. It's chilling in the frig...then I'll make sausage rolls. Any left overs can be eaten for breakfast tomorrow. Dinner is more of a snack...after all the turkey we ate.

I've been craving a cheeseburger for a while now so after I dropped some dog biscuits at the Humane Society, I drove by a little locally owned place but they were closed. I went to Wendy's instead and got a Jr. cheeseburger deluxe and small fry. I didn't finish the fries and am thinking of warming them on air fryer mode in my little oven.

I had a salad similar to Annie's, but with feta instead of turkey.

Yesterday we had an Advent festival at church, a neat mashup of live Dickens-era carols and fresh, homemade tamales. I bought 6 of them and had one for the perfect breakfast.

Leftover quiche from last nights supper. It was yummy....I made it with onion, mixed peppers, spinach, mushroom along with the eggs and cheese.

Green salad topped with leftover turkey. I portioned out the leftovers into meal-sized amounts and stuck them in the freezer so I could enjoy them for a whole week after Thanksgiving. Hero Bread, my go-to low carb option, offered a new type this month. It's a square croissant with cheddar cheese. I toast it, slather it with mustard and stick a thick slice of turkey on it. Yum.

I had gas station chicken salad (made on premises and delicious). I did not realize their chicken salad was so good until I went to an impromptu luncheon and the hostess served it - in a lovely bowl, beautifully garnished, of course.

DH had a cheese and turkey sandwich. I had a PB&J. I can't remember the last time I had one. Too much left overs the last couple of days.

I eat a late breakfast so rarely do lunch. Mid afternoon i will usually have a snack; such as fruit or yogurt, etc, and that will hold me until dinner.

Last week on a night before Thanksgiving, I was exhausted from all the cooking, baking and cleaning. I had a PB&J for dinner and I have to say it was one of the most delicious things I'd had in a long time! Maybe it was the exhaustion talking but it was amazing.

I had the usual lunch I have every day after I fasted overnight and got a blood draw at 11. It's Trader's super bread, sliced avocado, sliced hard cooked egg, layers of mozzarella cheese on top and bottom, grilled for five minutes in a panini maker. Beside that is a big bowl of blueberries and blackberries topped with a big scoop of Traders vanilla yogurt. Coffee.

Lordy, seems everyone has a much more structured lunch than I do!! Breakfast is my big meal of the day so I usually go very light on lunch - a piece of fruit or maybe a hunk of cheese. If I skip or go light on breakfast, then perhaps a half sandwich.

Today it was a satsuma and a handful of Chex mix :)

But gardengal, that's my "brunch". I don't do breakfast. Forgot I also have OJ then too.

Lily I think you have posted that avocado creation before and it sounds scrumptious.
