Window treatment ideas please

Kindly looking for thoughts for a treatment for this window. It’s north facing and will be my massage room. Looking to allow in light most of the time but not during massage😊! Should I do 3
separate cellular shades (like the option of top down+bottom up function). Hubby says to outside mount one single shade over all 3 windows, (trying to avoid) due to the narrow depth. You can see the window cranks obscure the bottom surface of the 2 end windows🤷‍♀️. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!! Maureen

inside-mounted blinds is better, these two options are worth considering: the TDBU (top-down/bottom-up) model and the framed model. The framed model can achieve 100% blackout when you're message.

It doesn’t look like you have sufficient window frame depth to do an inside mount. The window hardware along the bottom may also interfere with an inside mount.

So one outside mount shade will probably look and function better. If you will be raising and lowering the shade while your client is in the room, one shade will be quicker to open/close than three.

gastroc, your window trim is very similar to ours. I love it! Though I've not used this type of rod on any of our windows yet I'm thinking about doing so in the guest bedroom just to show off the gorgeous trim. There are a few different styles but they all fit inside the trim leaving just a small little hole. Painter is coming Tuesday morning so curtains had to come down anyways. I totally agree that the curtains were way too dark – and your Eye was drawn to them. Never liked them from the day I put them up, but somehow they have managed to remain hanging there for two years. :(. Definitely will go more of a neutral color on the next ones if I do decide to get side panels. This is where I go back-and-forth and can't decide. I think I personally like the look of the window exposed – with maybe just blinds but don't know if it gives the room a "homey" look. As mentioned earlier the window is a very large 10 foot window – and you definitely feel a draft during the winter so i need to put something up. Uggghh- Interior decorating is certainly not one of my strengths and causes me stress!

I would not use brown blinds.....they are very cavelike. You could use white cafe curtains on rings. They could be closed after dark but kept open during the day. They are a very sweet look, too.

I'm wondering if there's another idea I'm not considering. Are you open to painting the room (including the ceiling) a dramatic, dark color? In my first house, my husband and I painted our vaulted master bedroom a deep cool green (kept the trim white), and we *loved* it. We were pleasantly surprised at how much it darkened the room at night, something we hadn't even considered, but were thrilled with. I also really like curtains, and if it were me, I'd mount a single rod over the tallest window, extending it 8"-12" past each flanking window. Color would depend on the look you were after. Thoughts? :-)

Thank you for the input😊! It turns out, to cover the frame using a single blind, it’d need to be 81.5”. Nothing that wide is available readily. Hubby thinks 3 mini blind outside mounted🤔
