Normally I wouldn’t suggest painting brick, but you really don’t have enough brick visible to have them stand on their own. If you paint the house white, find a special brick paint to make them the same color.

And re-paint the garage doors.

^Agree since there’s so little brick (although it’s nice). Also agree with repainting the garage doors the same color as the siding. It would be less harsh and not pull so much focus to the garage. Better to try adding more focus to your front entry area.

Just wondering…if you stick with the black front door, black garage doors and use Alabaster for the siding, maybe painting the trim on the window black would look more balanced with the rest of the black…? Not a pro so maybe some will comment.

More modern would have been to remove the half-moon shaped window. Now I would paint the siding and trim white including the door and garage doors and leave the brick alone.

Leave the brick as is & paint the garage doors & then add some nice landscaping, that that’s what is needed the most IMO. Also, new larger light fixtures & perhaps address #s mounted vertically on the brick. what is that black(?) box under your front window?

Looks like gutters will need painting too so they match.

You replaced the windows but left the semicircle above the front picture window? That semi circle needs to go if you want 'a modern' look. The WHITE is too stark not sure if painting the house to match is where I would go. I see blue on roof/door/garage. Is it blue or black? The elevation that needs SOMETHING is above the garage doors. That expanse needs a window/trim/ paint detail..something.

Do over on the window, sorry. big enough to eliminate the half moon and square off. Black on street side to match door.

Take a closer picture of the entry area and skimpy post. Yes, paint the brick. A landscaping effort is needed as well. Lose the window box: )

I would decide on brick after house and trim are painted white. Windows will blend in better too. Then think about black accents to balance out.

That arched window has to go and why white windows. I guess I need to know what the whole plan ws I think the color scheme should have been planned to go with the brick since IMO thta was the best part of the exterior . Your entry is like an after thought after the garages so a nice walkway from the street with some landscaping along it would make the entry abit better . IMO white siding will then make the garage doors really look like black holes . No window box . IMO all one color for the house and garage doors and those with some windows would have been much better . Now landscaping will be the major thing . I really cannot see the rest white at all. but the windows are all wrong in white IMO

agree that the brick isnt the problem, its the bright white window trim and the dark garage color. if going for modern curious why you chose a window shape that is not modern. perhaps take a pause and make a cohesive plan before any further steps.

Yes, paint the brick.

paint the garage doors. painting the brick even lighter is still going to leave these 2 giant doors as the focal point. the front door should be the focal point of the house. But these doors are right there, so maybe invest in new doors. Too many people are trying to change the house, but put no thought into how much landscape can do for a home. IDK everyone has a white and black house these days.

Since you have such a small amount of brick, it will look good if you leave it, and it will look fine painted too. However, I agree, about the round top window, if you are wanting a more modern look. I also agree, the garage doors stand out way too much. You may want to paint them the same color as the house. I would not paint the house white, though, I would pick a light color, that goes well with the roof, and also the brick, if you dont paint it. The landscaping needs to have some work done to it also.
