We removed the 50yr old wallpaper in our "new-to-us" home peeling it right off in single sheets. I'm guessing the lines of words (pic) is from the wallpaper backing. We want to paint. Is there a primer that will successfully cover 50yr old wallpaper glue or is spritzing & scraping the glue off the better option?
