I like all of your quilts. The blue scrappy with a border of ocean green is lovely. Is the fourth one a version of stained glass, I see a tiny edging around all the pieces?

Yes it is, Theresa. It is a variation of a pattern I received in a class taught by Heidi Proffetty. She is a very accomplished mosaic quilt artist. I completed 1 block of original pattern (less than half the size of these quilt blocks), but the pieces were so tiny, I did not think I would enjoy making any additional blocks that size. I increased the size, re-drawing the pattern as best I could. It turned out better than I expected.

All of the quilts were made from scraps.

Wow, Char, all those quilts while sailing and marrying off two kids! The wedding photos are lovely. Beautiful brides and handsome grooms. The quilts are great too. How did you manage to take along all those scraps? You must have amazing organizational skills. I'm especially drawn to the hexagon flower quilt. The mosiac quilt is really cool. Can you describe how it is made?

I'm trying to imagine sewing in the V-berth. I assume you wait until you are at anchor or at a dock. Sewing while under way seems just too impossible. Talk about free-motion quilting! Thanks for sharing pics of your wonderful quilts.
