My yearly group post idea: your favorite single picture from this year

Only rule is it has to be from your own garden, or a garden you've substantially contributed to, for those in public horticulture. Just one, no exceptions!
For me, it's this picture of my Abies firma coning. In spite of it being a droughty year, we did have some good storms. This was in August. I like the contrast of the stormy skies and the greenish-yellow new cones. It reminds me that I have a lot to be thankful for. As bad as it was, and a couple newly planted things did die, nothing in the ground 10 years or longer showed anything other than temporary injury. (I could post a pic of a sad, very shriveled-leaves looking Illicium, but it's much better now, that's what matters.)
This was planted in 2009, then transplanted after a year or two when I wanted it in another spot. BTW the snags in the background are on my neighbor's property, I'd cut them down if they were on mine!
