It is hard to unsee.

I like it with the shutters off. I see a lack of any color for interest now though. You mentioned a wicker chair, or two. Please put colorful cushions on them, and in your before picture, you had some colorful plants in front of all the green. They are missing in your after picture, and you really need to add something similar back there. The only color, I am seeing now, is the two yellow pots.

Thank some of you for the unsolicited landscaping feedback on my post about shutter mounting placement 🙄 We are working on a landscaping plan and I’ll welcome feedback on that post once it’s up. Maybe I’ll even link it here for you. Regarding the subject of this post, I think we’ve decided to go with the hinge mounts on the window framing and have the shutters cover the windows themselves, not the entire brick opening. The shutters won‘t be quite as big as the one pictured and we will add ine to either sode of every window, including the double window. The double window will only cover 1/2 of the two outer windows, but this way they’ll fit between the window and the planters. If there are other opinions on mounting location, please let me know. Thanks!

No shutters. You can add visual interest with a larger coach light (even better if you can add a second) and taller plants where you have larger sections of wall space.
