Comments (70)How do I always end up here? I was googling something (not Mr Clean) and one of the results was this thread. Interesting how often these forums show up. Nice to see other people who know about MSDS's. Eucalyptus oil is fantastic. It did leave a pale patch on a timber laminated shelf which DH attacked with a little too much vigour. But on other occasions, for example when he's used it to remove paint spatters on timber, it's been fine. Didn't know about pets. Thanks for the warning. Just wondering if eucy oil is the main active ingredient in OdoBan. Years ago when citrus oil was the big new environmentally friendly thing I tried to buy a cleaner and found most in the supermarkets had the usual ingredients anyway with just a token bit of the citrus oil added. Comments (134)I got a Bosch induction cooktop this past year. It works and looks great, but now there are some mysterious blemishes that you can see when wiping with a wet cloth, but when it’s wiped/polished completely dry you can’t really see the spots. I can feel where the spots are with my finger, it it’s as if there’s a very thin finish on the glass that’s missing in these spots. What the heck is this and can I do anything about it?...See MoreCement Tiles stained by grout
Comments (65)I am a high-end contractor and have unfortunately installed cement tiles on a number of projects this past year. My installers followed supplier recommendations and on later projects (when we started noticing staining on earlier projects), applied several more coats than recommended. All the floors are covered with stains and my clients feel like they can't relax, as any drop of water needs to be dried immediately or a new stain will be left. I've spent many hours now on my hands and knees sanding out stains, trying new sealers, etc. I'm honestly now exploring options for pouring epoxy over the floors to allow my clients to live on them. I will NEVER AGAIN install cement tiles on a floor (or anywhere that could get exposure to water or any other liquid)....See MoreCleaning products safe for both Encaustic and ceramic tiles in shower
Comments (8)Oh I’m sorry they put them in the shower. I only have them on my bathroom floors. I am currently using Bona products. They are Ph neutral and readily found in retail stores. When the cement tiles need more help than regular cleaning, you’d be surprised at how aggressive you can get. Both my floors had different installation issues and needed to be restored. In the first bath the installer got thin set on the tiles before they had their first coat of sealer. I had to sand them all down before we could grout. The second bath had sealer, but the navy pigment in the grout stained anyway. In the end Mr Clean Magic Erasers scrubbed them clean without damage (they are chemical-free and made out of melamine foam) You can even use peroxide safely. Check out the cement tile websites for more care tips....See MoreRelated Professionals
