Should I keep kitchen wall?

last month

I'm trying to decide if the kitchen wall with fridge should be removed to open up the floor plan. Right now the wall partially hides the adjacent living room area. If the wall was removed or lowered you can see the whole kitchen, dining and living area at once, which I'm not sure is a good idea. There is no foyer, the entry opens into the kitchen. If the wall is removed the fridge would be relocated to the wall with the stovetop and I would lose countertop space and cabinetry unless I put in a small island or peninsula (which would have a narrow halfwall separating the kitchen from the living area. The only reason to remove the wall is for esthetics but I don't know if I would like to see the whole room at once. Also I would have limited options for TV placement in the LR.
Any thoughts?
