" I mean that they would splice individual THWN wires to the cord that came with the light. That splicing would be done in the niche if OK by code and box fill requirements. You can't remove the outer sheath from the cable and then feed those wires through the PVC. The purpose of the outer sheath is for protection and water proofing. Again, talk to the contractor's electrician, not his installers. Make sure all this electrical is INSPECTED. Pools are particularly dangerous and you certainly don't want any catastrophes and accompanying liabilities.

If you move the sink to be centered where the electrical is, it wouldn't be too wide. But if you re-center the electrical over the sink where it is, 24" would be too wide. I agree. The scale is good. I think you need something else that is black in the space. It will help to tie everything together. I would replace your art (its too small and hung too hight) with a large piece that has black in it. It won't be too expensive if you look for a large mass produced canvas verses a framed piece. One more thing to make the whole project more work. I would change the rug in the dinning room to one that is neutral that matches the large rug in your living room. Blue or grey, solid or remove completely and hang curtains in that colour. Reducing the number of patterns and colours in the place allows the pieces to be seen without competing with a lot of visual information. You are 90% there just find the colour you want to coordinate from your living room rug and pull it into the dining room.

Either the drum pendant or a bubble pendant would work. Your chairs are MCM style. I know you didn’t ask, but... a larger, vertical shaped piece of artwork would look better on the wall to the right of the window than what is currently there. Art should be what you love, but size and shape are important considerations for where it’s hung.
