Another possible is Ipheion - which also smells 'onion-y'. If you put one of your NOID (no ID) bulbs between a rock and a hard place and squish it you can settle the matter quite quickly. BTW - Ipheion has flat leaves, quite narrow, and starry flowers, either white or pale blue, which have darker stripes running down the middle of each petal on the back. Another likely culprit is Muscari which tends to form clumps of bulblets around a bigger bulb. If you are fond of Muscari, simply remove as many of the bulblets as you can and replant the bigger bulbs. Do not wage war on them until you've seen which varieties you've inherited. There are some rather nice doubles and whites many gardeners would be glad to have. If it is Muscari - expect the leaves to be emerging (they look like skinny scallions) about now - in the summer heat. The next rapid multiplier is bluebells - whichever name the botanists have for them at present. However - only some of the bulbs will be round. Others will be long and odd-shaped. I strongly recommend you dig any of them up for disposal while they are in full growth and before they set seed. (Mid to late spring) That way you can usually catch them before they've started forming any new bulblets. Any that have formed will still be clinging to the adult bulb. Later, when summer is in and growth has stopped, if you move them, the young bulbs simply drop off and disappear into the dirt. (They're not silly!) ;-)))

I agree with Barred Rock. It could be a Dominique - the two breeds look much alike except for the comb. Barred rocks have a single comb; Dominiques have a rose comb. But it's definitely not a Speckled Sussex... a Speckled Sussex has very distinctive feathers with russet and and/or iridescent blue green with a narrow band of white and a black tip. I've had Specks and Doms. They are both good dual purpose breeds. I'm sure Barred Rocks are much the same... They have always been deservedly popular. Not sure about their tendency to broodiness though. A tip for the future. Day old Barred Rocks and Dominiques are mainly black with a light patch on the head. Speckled Sussex are shades of russet and buff, with chipmunk striping. Nothing alike at that age!

I wonder if you might have a 'Drama Girl Dream', described in the Web Camellia Register as a "sport of Drama Girl with petaloid centre"? 'Drama Girl' is described as having yellow stamens, but camellias may sometimes have an atypical flower, so it may be that later flowers on your plant will have the more usual 'Drama Girl' appearance (for reference, the Burncoose Nursery web site has some nice photos of 'DG'). If you continue to get the lighter colored petaloid stamens, I would consider it a 'Drama Girl Dream', and enjoy those lovely flowers. I quite like the look of the flower in your photo- it does have a resemblance to the 'Elegans' flowers, which I also like. The leaves of your plant- so far as I can tell- look very much like those of 'Drama Girl' in online photos. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any online pix of 'DGD'. Possibly, there's a photo in one of the old ACS yearbooks? The year given for 'DGD' is 1966, so if you're really curious, you could contact the ACS to see if 'DGD' ever appeared in a yearbook, and then request an Interlibrary Loan of that yearbook through your public library. We did a sample of the jacobbean and it was beautiful, but a little too brown for the cherry w/ dark stain cabs. So after looking at what others have used, we did a sample with 50-50 ebony and red mahogany, and finally went with a mix of 75% red mahogany, 25% ebony. It was just enough black to take the pink undertone out of the red mahogany. So the floors were stained today, and I love the 'custom' shade. It's perfect with the dark cherry cabs!
