What's on your Christmas '06 wish list?
Comments (4)Here's wishing for good weather for your drive too Sharon. Definately nothing beats being surrounded by family and friends! This year we may have to do much of that via phone/emails/web-cam but that's OK. DH's brother and his wife and kids are staying around here for the holidays too, plus one of my nephews is doing a practicum/internship in Edmonton for the winter so he'll be here too. What's on my gift wish list? We usually buy the kids a few individual gifts plus one bigger "family gift". Last year we bought lots of fun family games -- Life, Monopoly, Sequence, Clue Jr., plus a few more. We had a blast learning/re-learning them! Our oldest is 10 now so yeah, a few of them were a bit over their heads yet but that's OK -- at least we know they will 'grow into them'! LOL Not sure what we are going to do this year though. Haven't given it much thought yet!...See MoreAny garden items on your holiday wish lists?
Comments (22)I hope Santa is very good to you all and brings you whatever garden gifts you want. I'd really like a garden helper/handyman but they are pretty scarce. I would also like a garden bench altho I might spend too much time just sitting and not gardening! ;-D I think those Travelocity gnomes are cute also and QVC does have them - link below. There are not a lot of 'things' I need for my garden and I like to choose them myself so I'm not making garden gift suggestions to family. No longer buying gardening books. Would like a new birdbath to replace the cheap plastic one but I made the birds a glass totem birdbath and only the chipmunks use it. The birds seem to prefer the cheap plastic one that's elevated 6' high - I guess they feel safer there. I buy a few garden decorations every year mostly at yard sales and have made more totems, etc. than my garden needs. Mother's Day is when I get my garden goodies, not Christmas, as the plant nurseries have just opened here and my enthusiasm is high. Right now I'm hibernating just like my garden! LOL Here is a link that might be useful: Travelocity gnome...See MoreYour Wish Lists For Santa?
Comments (10)Hi Mary, I haven't heard too much holiday music here yet, which is odd. Gotta love Joni! She's my go to for Hoyas and it's always neat to find one Hoya that you've been eyeing and she lists it on her monthly sale :D. I don't think I'll be ordering anymore Hoyas until spring, but time will tell. I enjoy trading with the folks here on the forum and they've all been wonderful. Hopefully, I'll be striking up some trades towards spring. Brad AKA Moonwolf...See MoreTop 5 (or 10 or..) on your wish list for 08
Comments (43)Well, I try to avoid reading those wish lists, since they tend to make my own wish list longer. As I try to restrict myself to solid colored hostas, and some streakers for breeding purposes, this is what I have ordered so far: Arctic Blast Barbara May Cherry Tart Chishima Iwa Clovelly Empress Wu Fluted Fountain Fujibotan Glorious Hacksaw Hyuga Urajiro Marrakech Neptune Maya Swingtime Montana ÂGinrei Purple Boots Purple Haze Red Dragon Ruffed Up Sahara Nights The RazorÂs Edge Totally Twisted I'm also always looking for species or any plant collected in the wild I don't have yet. Love from the Hosta Mill, Rob...See MoreRelated Professionals
