For the uplight, you could go a few routes, especially with respect to dimming functionality. And some fixtures don't support dimming, so you need to figure that out. To that end, I suggest you think through the use cases. For example, the use case that I think I'd appreciate most is late evening, after you've retired to another room of the house, at which time a mellow indirect glow from the skylight cutout would be particularly pleasant. You might also want the more light from this source on occasion, in which case you'd want brighter lights on a dimmer. That being said, here's some options. I'm thinking two, centered on the skylights, mounted near the bottom rim of the cutout (just above the beam probably). Regarding the pendant, I know that selecting pendants is hard enough without more to think about, but one downside of a single pendant vs multiple pendants is thhat single sources create worse shadows. And the clear glass pendants above exacerbate this harsh shadow problem by being point sources, whereas the Fillsta, for example, mitigates this problem because it's effectively a uniform 31" sphere of light. This large diffuser also makes it possible to use a brighter source. For example, you could put a 300W equivalent CFL in the Fillsta, but such a bright light would be unacceptably harsh in a point source like the clear glass pendants above.

I will stop by the house tonight and see if they are hung yet. Hopefully this week sometime. I initially wanted the pebble shape too! I don't know what changed my mind, bc I felt this one was too school-house looking at first. But I made a couple mockups and just felt like this one went better. IDK lol, I'm making it up as I go haha. I also got the flush mount for over our sink. I went with the brass too to mix it up and am using brushed brass hardware on my island. Faucet is chrome. Everything else is ORB- perimeter cabinet hardware and doorknobs, etc. One thing I didn't realize is the metal rod is only like 1-foot long and the rest is a gold rope. Good space for a one bedroom condo.,but I am having a devil of a time relating the floor plan to your photos. It is the dining area with the two windows and slider to patio? What if you rename dining area and call it the media space? You come in the front door, pass by bedroom and bath and the next thing in view is a round table/4 chairs, adjacent to kitchen. You leave the pass through as is, but add a shelf under it because you are now using the “dining area” for the t v/media area and the shelf can hold snacks, etc. Thinking...

IMO the space is very crowded and not a good work space . I don't even think sinks need to be at windows since we spend so little time at sinks if we use out DWs properly and to place a sink to look out at the great room really makes no sense . If the stools are in use there is no way to access the stuff behing them all the walkways are too small . Are you an actual KD or just an ID Kitchen design begins with function and clients need to be guided by that function . Often clients need to be told when something they want will just not work.IMo first fix the function then worry about the pendants .
