Drying issues with Euro DW: All three do not dry plastics nearly as well as American DWs. It does not matter how much drying agent you put in the DWs. If you think about it, the water that collects in the divets of dishes actually pools there and has no chance of draining out. For that you need a well designed rack so that it is tilted as much as possible to help drain the water. This is where well designed racks make a huge difference with drying issue! In this, Bosch is the worst. In my household, Bosch also fits the least amount of our dishes. The glad plastic el-cheapo containers have a large divet where it collects water when you turn it upside down. I have used all three Euro DWs. For me, Miele is the hands down best, then my old Asko, then Bosch for rack design. Ineteresting enough, Miele has not changed their rack layout in many years. Whereas, Bosch and Asko tend to change them every few years. To me, the newer middle cutlery tray Asko looks rather odd and looks as if you can't really fit large dishes in there. I have NOT used it, however. My old Asko actually had a heating element at the bottom and it dried plastics fine with the element BUT I had to make sure plastic was NOT at the bottom rack. We decided not to use the heating element to dry, which was an option on the Asko. So when you compare the drying of all three without using the heating element on the Asko, they are all about the same, IMHO... I am not sure if the newer Askos have heating elements at the bottom like my old one did. Any how, if you want all your plastics to dry in the DW, I would skip the Euro ones. On the other hand, your plastics will last much longer in the Euro DWs. When I left the Asko heating element on, I often found that a plastic had fallen down and melted... This was one of the reasons I decided not to use the heating element.

I have a Dacor plumbed coffee system and it is wonderful. I think it is more attractive than the Miele or Fagor, and it has an automatic milk frother. You simply place a quart container of milk into the slide out compartment on the left insert the milk hose, and when you press the latte button you get frothed milk with your espress--no need to stand there holding a cup under a frothing stick. It also makes wonderful chocolate milk for the kids. In addition, it has a slide out compartment on the right that keeps cups warm and an instant hot water dispenser. They have a wonderful self-cleaning filtration system that comes with the unit also (or you can buy it without it). Lastly, it has an adjustable dispenser that fits taller cups and some mugs.They cost around $3500, but I see them on ebay frequently for under $2000. My plumbed machine has been in use for about 3 months. I closely follow all the many maintenance and cleaning requirements. After about six weeks, though, the milk valve cleaning brush looked like this. Which I think is unacceptable. I called Miele support and of course they directed me to the Miele store where I could purchase another brush. Except the new brush sells for the outrageous price of $25.35. After complaining to support they ghosted me. A bit of internet searching finally got me to Kleenteeth.com and this: It's longer than the typical interdental brush, so works perfectly in cleaning the milk valve. So at about $2 per brush (which incudes the shipping) I'm way ahead of Miele's 'offer'.

Jborge: how are you liking your CM5300? We bought one 3 months ago or so. We have a Miele Dishwasher and stove about 20 years almost trouble free (knock on wood), so we love the brand. I'm retired, so have time for the CM5300 maintenance. I sent it back for repair due to inconsistent milk quantity and frequent issues with the right side milk spout not working. Just got it back yesterday. I think some of the issues relate to maintenance with the milk pipe; not sure whether the "repair" center addressed those. I think you have to Rinse the milk pipe every day (start and finish) you drink a milk drink and Clean it weekly. What beans do you use? When the CM5300 works, which is almost all of the time, it is heaven.
