basement well encased mostly in concrete

Our well pump sets 1’6” below the level of our basement floor. During heavy rains , it gets about an inch of water in it and drains over time. We still want access to it, but want to seal it off to prevent moisture. Will the wolmanized wood caulked into place be enough to prevent moisture etc coming up? Should I sprinkle a 1/2 cup Clorox to prevent any possible? Mold issues in the future etc?
