I would love some advice on what colour paint to use for ceiling walls, and trim in our new build. We were thinking of using BM Swiss coffee (proposed, not a for sure) for our perimeter upper and lower kitchen cabinets with an oak Island, medium white oak floors, white subway tile and light quartzite countertops. Our kitchen/great room faces south and receives some direct sunlight all day long but mostly indirect light reflected through a forest and off deck. It is bright in there, but not blinding bright. I am wondering what colour paint to put on the ceiling and the walls and trim/doors that will complement and not compete with the Swiss coffee cabinets.

Together, the great room and kitchen are approximately 1500 ft.² with 15ft cathedral ceiling in the great room, and 9’ in kitchen, 12’ sliding door with upper windows leading to a covered deck with skylights and in the kitchen area the dinette bumps out; all face south. We have a horizontal fireplace with tv above. The look is rustic modern.

I wouldn’t mind going with a slightly lower LRV (light reflected value) paint colour to contrast the cabinets. I don’t want to compete with this Swiss coffee or pull the yellow out. It is a creamy warm white. I am looking at fog mist, possibly revere pewter, possibly Balboa mist. I do like the idea of going white and cloud white was suggested to me, but I’m concerned that it may bring the yellow out in the Swiss coffee. I like the idea of the TRIM having a bit of contrast with the walls so I would like them to be different colors.
It has been suggested to me to use just white on the ceiling.

I would love some feedback. Once the priming is done next week, I will be able to test some swatches on the wall. I was hoping the HOUZZ community might be able to suggest some colours that I have not thought of. Thank you in advance for your time and ideas.
