Comments (2)sherry, best thing would be to contact your county's agricultural extension office or the university. They are more familiar with your area and best at recommending and help you out. They would have local information that they know more than us who are not in your area. Besides, the help is free and they would gladly help. That's a good starting point. Then you can clarify some questions in this forum and we will relate to your problems of growing your fruit trees....See MoreI AM BACK, well, close to it I hope.
Comments (23)Hi Celeste; Good to hear from you and you have a new grandson.I sure do hop the worse is behind me with this wrist.I was cooking a pot of peas this afternoon and forgot and picked the pot up with my right hand, and the pain was horrible.I just almost dropped that pot of peas on the floor, but, managed to grab it with the other hand and just spilled a little of them. Will you be taking any pictures of your snow? The ones you posted last time was gorgeous.Congrats on the new grandson. Lisa. Thank you,That might be why I been in so much pain with my wrist, pushing it too hard, maybe.I am right handed and always do everyhting right handed, and have very little strength in the left hand jean...See MoreHey Y'all, I went to Paula Deen's! Comments (10)Yes Annie, I totally "went off the wagon" diet wise this weekend, but we walked like 5+ miles each day. Back and forth to the hotel. That has to count for something! The chargrilled oysters are grilled in the half-shell, then drizzled with garlic butter and parm cheese. You would think this would overpower the oysters, but it didn't; they tasted like little grilled steaks. To die for! Usually I don't like my oysters messed with, just straight-up, raw on the half-shell, but these were sublime. I bought Uncle Bubba's cook book and he was there giving autographs, so I got it signed! It was worth it...some really good recipes in there and not as ooey-gooey as some of Paula's recipes....See MoreWe did it, I hope you-all do too.
Comments (21)Voting is another topic on which I have very strong feelings. I firmly believe if you live in this country you have, not a "right" since we determined that there are no "rights" only privileges! ;) or a "privilege", but rather a duty. You have a duty to vote in my mind. It bugs me so much to hear people complain and then say they didn't vote. I've quit being "nice" about it. I tell them if you don't vote, don't complain. Simple as that. The, er, privilege to complain comes only with performing your duty to vote. There's all kinds of excuses not to vote but it comes down to convenience and laziness it seems. But interestingly the same inconvenience and laziness disappears for other things. I'm stepping down off my rickety soap box now. Be sure to vote. I'm very proud that Minnesota is a leader in the voter turnout and almost always is one of the top. "Minnesota 'Nice'" or "Minnesota 'Living Up To Our Duty'"?? :) Vote. It's very important. Have a say in your future. And I hope you'll be an informed voter and use more than just commercials. Compare and contrast. Sometimes the decision is easy, sometimes not so easy. But that's all part of the duty. Looking for 100% "I Voted" in the forum! And yes, I'm looking forward to the end of the campaigns!...See MoreRelated Professionals
