First it was the engineered wood scratching so we were going to do the Luxury Vinyl with two toddlers and a dog but now I’m hearing the same issues there. And with the countertops I came very close to a quartz but now I’m hearing a few people tell me 2-3 years in, theirs have started to yellow. Comments (5)You are very smart. We just decided today to get the floors and counters installed first and then decide in the room, but I also like to look and plan. And I am always open to the great ideas given here! I have been thrown slightly for a loop by my husband. ;) We went to the stone yard to pick out our Taj Mahal slabs, and I knew exactly the look I was aiming for when he saw these slabs. They really are quite beautiful with nice, subtle movement. But I am a beige person and these can lean a little more gray than I prefer. But, I have never seem my husband of 40 years of marriage get so excited about a slab. Don’t want to dampen his enthusiasm and want him to feel like this project is as much him as me, so I am pivoting. :)...See MoreRelated Professionals
