Help choose between 2 granites
Comments (71)I don't like either of your two suggested choices for the room at all. The ASB is really nice. I previously had Blue Pearl for 15 years and loved it - it would look great in that room and you would never tire of it. I have Volga Blue now and really, really think it would make your room "pop" with the fabulous blue mica chunks. No more than it appears you need, you might fare really well going to all granite yards and granite fabricators in your area to see if they have partial slabs of any of these in their boneyard. We got a gorgeous partial slab of Verde San Francisco for our laundry room for about $5/sq. ft. from a boneyard (plus fabrication, of course). Our English Bull Terriers vote for something blue, for sure! One of them absolutely can read a clock - she tells us (emphatically) when it is 6:00 p.m. for her Greenie toothbrush. Our dogs sleep in our bed, too. I'm sure we are not the only ones that have to remind our dogs that this is OUR king sized bed, not yours, so let us have some room to stretch, please! Your dog room is creative and fantastic... you and your fur babies will so enjoy it!...See MoreHelp me choose a clematis to go between my roses
Comments (39)That must be it, Lisa. MIne is in total sun. Now, I need another one to plant in a shaded area. Love the coloring of yours. Lilyfinch, my rhapsody is just setting buds and I can't wait to see if it has fragrance. That would be nice to make up for Bajazzo. All this lively color is on the arbor to the chicken coop area where color runs wild. I just realized that Vasue has already mentioned that Blue Angel is a favorite of hers. Sorry, Vasue. I'm glad I re-read some of the posts. I was happy to see your glowing report on it. That must be where the name got stuck in my mind. I agree it would fill Constant Gardener's requirements very well without overpowering the roses....See MoreChoosing between BM Thundercloud Gray/Bunny Gray/Eternity
Comments (37)I have, and i do really like that color, but it's definitely going to be too dark for the space. I've decided to go with BM White Wisp. It's what I have in my current home, and even though it can lean grey-green or grey-blue, the color is so light that it's not overpowering. I think it will work in every room, which makes having it painted easier. I'm using Chantilly Lace for all the trim. As for the kitchen, I'm strongly leaning towards either Repose or Mindful Gray for the cabinets. I think either will coordinate well with the granite we selected, and I think it will break up the white in the space since we aren't changing the floors. Lori I'm so grateful you jumped in when you did, otherwise I think I would have ended up with a Bunny Gray disaster on my hands! It's a beautiful color, but I'm sure now that it would have looked straight up blue or lavender at all times, not gray....See MoreNew siding - Hardie Iron Gray?
Comments (7)Thanks @Emily - that's a beautiful color. But it's a little brighter than I'd realized. I wonder if it's a too much for my crummy little house. I liked the blue-green-gray vibe as in the photo below, which is also supposed to be Evening Blue. My best option might be Iron Gray, like the one below. It's dark but it also has some color at least from the photos I find here on Houzz. I worry that I don't see a lot of very dark houses though, and there must be a good reason for that....See MoreRelated Professionals
