Need help with SW yellow paint color for new Tuscan home
Comments (28)wanted to run something else by the forum. this is the travertine color and pattern we are getting. should we go with a more neutral color like blonde so it doesn't compete with the color of the floor? or, would a warm color like harvester look ok? thanks...See MoreNeed help with a two-story fireplace...want to go Tuscan!
Comments (5)Is your great room open to the kitchen? I'm not good at looking at pictures of a house being built, at the framing stage. I'm trying to remember a poster who has a fabulous tuscan house, she had lots of pictures posted, that would be a great reference for hickory. Anyone ? Hickory, do you have a master plan for your finishes or inspiration pictures? and by tuscan, are you aiming for rough-hewn and rustic ?...See MoreCan you help "De-Tuscan-ize" my bathroom?
Comments (12)I would paint the walls the cream color in the granite. Simplify the lighting and mirror frames. Why is there one in the center, along with a magnifying countertop mirror? Another mirror option is to extend them from backsplash to ceiling and join them at the corners. If you choose that, sconces at head height can be wired instead of the overhead fixtures. That entire corner of the bathroom doesn't play well with standard rug sizes. I'd really consider having a remnant cut to fit, bound, and a color that blended with the lightest color of the tile. Take everything off the countertops during a showing....See MoreNeed help changing cream tuscan kitchen to white contemporary kitchen
Comments (20)I agree with the vent hood and lighting changes. A glass pendant in green or aqua lighting could look good. As far as seating, I always liked the Tig Countertop seats from Crate & Barrel when I had them in my last home. They are contemporary and sleek. And far more comfortable than they looks. But they wouldn't go with the french look of your dining area. I assume you plan to change out those chairs as well? If you like coastal looks, sea grass or a light natural/driftwood color is a good option too. If you are looking for light and bright I think you would need to paint the island. I would also get lighter drawer/cabinet pulls. https://www.crateandbarrel.com/tig-metal-counter-stool/s642141 https://www.ballarddesigns.com/jo-jo-pendant/lighting/indoor-lighting/pendants/444240?listIndex=5 https://www.overstock.com/Lighting-Ceiling-Fans/Belinda-Blue-Glass-Cluster-Pendant-Chandelier-Antique-Black-Finish/16001564/product.html...See MoreRelated Professionals
