Black tub, maple vanities and white counters - What floor?
I have a lovely black tub(white resin inside) and selected brown maple cabinets for our primary bathroom. The shower is sort of out of the main bathroom area but will also be black. I have been trying to select the flooring and having difficulty deciding whether to go with a light gray, dark gray, or something warm to pick up on the brown in the vanities. I would like to keep things clean and not get too busy with patterns.

Comments (4)Take a look at travertine in a light ivory. It seems to go with everything. I have travertine on my bathroom floor, shower, and tub deck, then used crema marfil marble for an accent. It looks serene and beautiful! If you use the 18" travertine tiles, cut to 9 x 18 for the tub surround, there won't be that many grout lines. Comments (9)I agree about painting the cabs an espresso or dark chocolate color. I hope you're done your research about putting travertine on the counters. It's going to be hard enough to keep it stain free on the floor. But if you have and still want it, then go for it :) It's my very favorite natural stone :) It was hard, but I chose a porcelain tile that looked like travertine for my bathroom floor and glad I did. Comments (11)Thanks for the suggestions. We are getting closer. We took at look at the additional suggestions (SW Blonde, Ivorie and BM Shelburne Buff HC 28) but they didn't make the cut for what we are looking for. The good news is I think we are down to two (or at least that is all my DW wants to deal with at this point): BM Precious Ivory 185 (a little tan and slightly darker) and BM Soleil AF-330 (a little sunny). The Precious Ivory probably does have a better chance of complementing some of the ubatuba highlights, but I like the 'sunny' part of Soleil, especially since we have little direct light into our kitchen. IMO a black and white marble could be awesome . I like bathroom floors and ahower walls both 12 x24 tile usually porcelain but mayeb in your case the marbl I do not like busy tiles in bathooms they make any changes you might want down the road complicated . IMO that tub is the star and so everything else needs to work with it . You can get porcealin tile that looks like black and white marble. I will say I would not have done that cabinet with that tub but too late now .
