I have a light gray LVP flooring.

I also have 4 dogs and clay in the backyard. The only thing I've found that will take it totally off is magic erasers.
Is there anything I can do, such as stain, that will make my life easier

Well you can’t stain it, your only hope is finding the magic solution that lifts the clay (and clay is the worst). Bona? Vinegar? Diluted ammonia? Steam mop? Obviously long term a warmer mid tone floor sounds better suited.

Magic Eraser is slowly removing the finish on your floors, and making it stain worse. It's basically sandpaper.

Dirt colored floors are always the best choice. Plus walkoff matts, or a dog wash station on the deck where the dogs feet get hosed and then dried.

IMO you choose accent wall colors last , it is easy to find paint to go with decor .

Depends upon your furniture somewhat, however. Have you thought about a color such as Benjamin Moore Smokey Taupe? Might give a slightly warmer feel to the room without doing a color such as bluish & greenish . Really have to sample colors in the room. Or you could just do a while complimentary to your floors.

Thank you all. I have lived with that refrigerator sticking out for 20 years and never even noticed it! But, we will be needing a new one and I will keep that in mind. I cannot believe everyone picked the same floor (and it was my least favorite, so now I'm thinking!). I have always had an issue with lighting in this kitchen. I will definitely update my pot lights with the 4000K. I had always bought "warm" ones. Gives me lots of food for thought! And, yes, I have a runner. It just doesn't show up in the visualization photos. As far as the floor stretching into the other rooms, I was wondering if something in the "brownish" range would work. Here is a sample I just picked up, but I can't use it in the visualizer. I know I would love it in the other rooms.

Do you have to match LVP flooring?

It is ok to have different flooring on different levels. Usually the stairs match the more important floor, or the floor from which they can be seen.

I would ditch the magic erasers, yes, they act like sandpaper and are removing the finish on your floors. Find a good cleaner that will work to remove clay. Put down a few runners in the main area. Have a place set up to clean the dogs feet when they come in, are all things, that will help you with your floors.
