Favorite white daylilies
I have a few white daylilies, added a few the past two seasons. Show us your favorites.
How High the Moon is my new favorite. It is pure white and tall. Looks promising here.
Scandinavia is fairly new here. I added this after seeing it in Mantis garden. Most of my whiteshave been here three seasons or less.
I like the shape of Heavenly Curls but has been slow to establish. Probably needs a better spot which I dont have now.
Love Kennesaw Mountain Lemon Sorbet.
it had first blooms last season.
Sunday Gloves is my favorite old white. It has incredible substance in all day sun.

Believe in Angels looked more cream in photos from last year. Some years it looks very white.

A seedling I got in a trade many years ago, very white and very late.

Siloam Amazing Grace x Indian Giver is actually a little whiter than this photo. A very perfect flower every time.

Favorite/Least Favorite Color Daylily?
Comments (32)I've always loved orange daylilies, and my first sight of PRIMAL SCREAM merely confirmed that love. Really like brown daylilies as well....and yellow, well, no need to say any more. Yellow daylilies are WONDERFUL! Mauve to me is probably not what mauve is to an artist or colorist. Naturally, no daylilies come to mind at the moment, but I've seen what I think of as mauve intros and have not cared for them. My recollection is of a palish, dirty purple-pinkish shade. Not that that's very helpful I'm sure! In fact, someone mentioned ALWAYS AFTERNOON, which is in fact a mauve. But I've seen it and have liked it well enough, and I've not thought of it as mauve. But EAGLE NEST is very much NOT mauve IMO! And Faye Shooter would probably agree with me, seeing as how she registered it as a "medium purple." :) All this as a way of saying that my new least favorite color is a dirty lavender-pink. :)))...See MoreYour favorite 'white' daylily...

Comments (20)I don't think I saw a single white daylily I did not like! Isabelle Rose was new 2020 and did quite well this year. Has multiplied some, but bloomed for a long time. Ivory Titan did well too, 2nd bloom year in my garden. It bloomed for about a month, then rebloom started and it bloomed another 3 weeks I like Lillian's Vapor Trail, wish it bloomed more. I meant to move it this fall and see if it would do better, but did not get it done. Scandinavia did fantastic this year, multiplied a LOT! Lots of blooms, but it bloomed out in just less than a month, producing a lots of daily blooms. It made quite a show while it lasted White Unto Harvest White Zone was going to be sent out of my garden, then last year it improved its performance so well I could not do it. We don't grow many whites, but here a few I found photos of.
Chill is a small white diploid.
Heavenly Snow Flake
Lillian's Thin Ice is one of my favorite white ones.
Arctic Bear
Last Snowflake is registered late, but it does not bloom late for us. It is also short and low budded, but the flowers are gorgeous so we keep it.
