I got a bunch of cute little ceramic pots at the dollar tree for a buck, the only hangup, no drainage hole, the pot it is in is actually a plastic pot with drainage holes, simple to pull out to water, then put back in. should it actually be in a clay pot? My soil seems to dry out really fast when I use clay, so I thought this was a perfect solution. I use a lot of plastic, my hanging baskets are all plastic and well I have so many it would be quite a expense to go to all clay or ceramic, I am transferring to ceramic slowly as I can afford too (yes I know I just spent 20 bucks on more houseplants when I could of been buying pots, but I just can't seem to help myself!) I am at around 80 houseplants now and I am at my limit for space so now I will start concentrating on getting some nicer pots:) the great thing I like about it is every spring my friends get lots of nice hanging baskets from the starts I begin in the fall, and I drop my collection back down to around 60:) thank you for your help, I am thinking that we have the same thing after you saying the leaves are pliable, I was actually hoping it was a money plant but when I looked at my moms I realized it was not the same at all:)

The flowering plant looks like dayflower, Commelina communis. There are other species of dayflower--check Google and Google Images. It's hard to be sure without seeing the flower. It's an awful pest. My sad story is that I begged my Philadelphia SIL for a piece of this because I remembered a nicer version from my grandmother's garden. She warned me what a weed it was so I never planted it but it colonized part of my garden just from a paper bag on the deck. Hope I'm wrong about the ID of your plant.
