What to do with this space?

Hello everyone! I need help with what to do with the extra space. As for the layout; it just goes straight back (it's a modular home). Starts with the entrance, with a wall and doorway, then the extra space( the one in question), the kitchen, and finally the dining area. The style I'm going for is kind of all over the place; boho, beachy with minimalist sprinkled in the mix.
We have been in this house for about a year. These pictures are from the listing when we bought it. It looks the same today.
P.S.
Knocking the wall down is not an option because that is where the furnace and water heater is located.

Comments (21)A separate lounge/library area would make sense off of the living room and could also be used as occasional guest space. Ceiling mounted drapes would help define the area and could be drawn for privacy, especially when someone is staying overnight. Comments (9)I need pics and what exactly would you use the shelves for? We have international students they all use different soaps , shampoos etc so sinc ethey all share the bathroom we give them each a caddy with what they need in the bathroom and it comes in a leaves with each one . I do not think a shelf full of all that stuff i s attractive for sure . But I need pics and lso maybe the choices you are making for the space too.Often old bath tubs were shorter than what we have now so maybe just a longer tub and shower would be the best. Comments (11)We all have to live with the storage we have, so I’ll assume you need everything that’s up there. The least expensive option would be to prime and paint all of the bins the same color as the wall. You can add labels so you still know what’s in them, but having all one color will reduce the visual clutter. Second cheapest option would be to buy matching baskets to replace or hold the existing bins. While I applaud the shelf on end trick, I think your space is a bit too tall for that idea to be effective. The best solution would be to have a contractor frame and drywall the space and add doors so the space is truly a cupboard....See MoreRelated Professionals
